Motivate :30

OPEN ON: Average guy, about 20, in bed. He wiggles around and sighs contently as he wakes up. There is a guy, dressed in a suit standing at the foot of his bed. He stares at him, bleary-eyed.

“Who are you?”

“Who, me? That’s not important. What you should be asking is who is that?”

A fat version of average guy, about 30, emerges from an adjoining bathroom, dressed in a bathrobe, fanning a newspaper like he just dropped a smelly load.

“Alright...”

The guy in the suit looks at him--makes him actually ask the question.

“…who is that?”

“That’s you.”

He looks back, confused.

“…in the future.”

The fat guy takes off his robe, displaying his full obesity and gets back into bed right next to our average guy like he isn’t there. The average guy is understandably very uncomfortable.

“How did that happen to me?”

The fat guy wiggles around to get comfortable and sighs contently (just like the average guy did before).

“Well, you started by skipping a day. Today, actually. Sleeping in. And then it turned into skipping a week. A month. A year. And now? He—you skip every day.”

The fat guy rolls over in bed and puts an arm around our average guy. He cringles like he’s about to lose it.

He’s made a decision. He gets out of bed, grabs his running shoes and looks back at the two people in his bedroom.

“You’d better be gone when I get back.”
